TELUS Marina complements the natural beauty of East Porpoise Bay with special design elements that highlight the stunning landscape of the region. Buildings are placed at the edge of outdoor spaces, a path guides people along the waterfront, and views are framed to showcase the Bay’s breathtaking natural features.

Indoor and outdoor public gathering spaces provide a variety of opportunities to create and deepen social connection – from a restaurant and multipurpose venue to a public waterfront walkway and forest grove trails.

TELUS Marina is designed to around both indoor and outdoor public gathering spaces to encourage a strong sense of social connection and interaction. From the outdoor public waterfront walkway and forest grove trails and amphitheatre and the interior restaurant, bistro and the activities in the mutlipurpose hall, it's a celebration of connection and diversity.

Designed for the entire community, both buildings are equipped with elevators and one of the four accommodation suites on the site is larger and accessible. In addition, the waterfront walkway and outdoor gathering spaces are all wheelchair accessible.

Supporting arts and culture

The indoor multipurpose venue and outdoor gathering spaces provide opportunities for a variety of cultural events, such as public art installations, art exhibitions, musical performances and other activities.

TELUS Marina will provide opportunities for outdoor public art installations, as well as indoor art exhibits, small musical performances, and other cultural activities and events in the multi-purpose hall space.

Designed to protect and celebrate the environment, TELUS Marina is built to a LEED Gold standard. It uses 100-percent electric heating and cooling to maintain a low operational carbon footprint, and features local B.C. materials and West Coast design, with prominent wood, stone and glass elements.
